The shares of Day Interactive Holding AG, a company involved in Web Information Management, were traded today for the first time on the SWX New Market. The offering price was set Sunday night at CHF 440. At the start of trading on SWX, the stock stood 77% above that level at CHF 780, representing a total market capitalization for the company of CHF 858 million.
According to the offering prospectus, of the 1,100,000 registered shares shown in the Commercial Register, 340,000, or 31% of the company's outstanding stock, were offered to the public. Should the underwriters elect to exercise their green-shoe option, that proportion could rise to 35%. In the area of Web Information Management, Day Interactive Holding AG founded in 1993 in Basel offers software solutions and services for the preparation, management and distribution of business-related information over the Internet Intranet and Extranet.
Day recorded 1999 revenues of CHF 7.5 million. The Day Group currently employs a total of approximately 90 individuals at its Swiss offices and four foreign subsidiaries.
