STOXX Emerging Markets Total Market vs. STOXX Developed Markets Total Market vs. STOXX Global Total Market indices:
“The recently launched STOXX Emerging Markets and STOXX Developed Markets Total Market indices are based on STOXX’s transparent and completely rules-based country classification, which offers market participants a comprehensible, 3-step classification, using only publicly available data from renowned sources, therefore making changes to the model and thus the STOXX Emerging and Developed Markets Indices totally predictable,” said Hartmut Graf, chief executive officer, STOXX Limited. “Since January 31, 2011, the STOXX Emerging Markets TMI and STOXX Developed Market TMI were down and up -3.59% and 2.76%%, while the STOXX Global Total Market Index was up 1.28% over the same time frame.”
