The Stock Markets Steering Committee of Athens Exchange, during today's session, approved the amendment of Resolution 39 "Futures Contracts on the MSCI Greece Rebased Index", concerning the terms for:
Α) Admission of series to trading, so that 2 additional expirations series will be available for trading. In particular, the number of ongoing series available will be eight (8), rather than the 6 expirations series that are available to be traded so far, namely 4 for the quarterly cycle and 4 for the monthly cycle.
Β) Market Making, so that there is continuous obligation, on a continuous basis, to a total of four (4) series of the nearest monthly expirations, instead of 3 series in which the continuous obligations has been set so far. In addition, there will be a widening of the maximum price spread when the price of the product exceeds the 6,000 index points, as follows:
C) Creation of Standard Combination Series, so that an additional standard combination on a continuous basis will be available (total of 3 standardized combinations), which should exclusively concern the quarterly expiration series of the product, to facilitate the process of rolling positions between quarterly expirations. More specific, in addition to the two existing standard combinations series between the 1st and 2nd and the 2nd and 3rd expirations series of the monthly cycle, there will be a combination between the 1st and the 2nd expirations series of the quarterly cycle.
Monday, July 24, 2023, is set as the date of application of the above amendments.
