Mrs. Pongtip Thesaphu became the Stock Exchange of Thailand's new vice president of the Public Affairs & Communications Department on December 18, 2000. Her scope of responsibilities includes Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Media Relations and overseeing the production of all SET communication tools. Mrs. Pongtip, 43 years, graduated from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, majoring in Psychology. She brings with her over 10 years of professional experience in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Before joining the Stock Exchange of Thailand, she worked as the Public Relations Manager of American Express (Thai) Co., Ltd. for six years. Prior to this, she was employed for five years at Colgate Palmolive Co., Ltd. in the position of Public Relations Manager.
In welcoming her to the Exchange, Mr. Vicharat Vichit-Vadakan, the SET President, said, "I am very glad that Khun Pongtip has decided to join the SET. I believe that her 10 years plus of extensive work experience in Public Relations and Corporate Communications will be greatly beneficial to the operation of the SET".
