"One of the factors resulted in lower trading turnover in September was the terrorist attacks in U.S.A. The attacks greatly affected all world exchanges and caused tension over political situation internationally. Moreover, the decrease in 2001 economic growth rate forecast in Thailand was predicted. All these factors have lowered investors confidence on the Exchange. However, foreign trading value in September showed that foreign investors bought more than sell at the rate of 20.70%." Mr. Kittiratt said.
