The Managing Director of the Capital Market Opportunity Center (CMOC) and the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI), Ms. Sopawadee Lertmanaschai, commenting on securities trading figures on the SET and the MAI, has announced the following figures: "In April 2002, securities trading reached 163,071.48 million baht in total, a decline from March 2002 of 27.82% or 62,859.24 million baht. One of the main contributors to this decline appears to have been the number of long holidays in the month of April. In terms of volume, trading turnover was 20,995.15 million shares. The SET Index closed on April 30 at 371.42, down by 2.53 points or 0.68% from the previous month (which closed at 373.95). Average daily turnover in April was recorded at 8,582.71 million baht, which was a decrease from the March average of 10,758.61 million baht.
"The most active broker was Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and the most actively traded securities were the shares of Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services Public Co., Ltd. (BAFS) with a total turnover value of 11,928.19 million baht."
Regarding securities trading on the MAI, in April 2002, total turnover reached 28,577,488.50 baht in value and 13,314,505 shares in volume, with the shares of Team Precision Public Co., Ltd. (TEAM) the most actively traded at 20,061,722 baht in total.
