Eligible securities must be in the top 150 securities with the highest market capitalization values (calculated from over the past 12 months). Also, they must have had monthly trading values on the main board that exceed 50 percent of the total market average for that month for at least three-quarters of the trading-month period under consideration. Finally, they must not have been suspended for an extended period of time, nor subject to delisting.
“There will be 5 securities added into the SET50 calculation of for Jan. 1 – June 30, 2005. They are the Siam City Bank Pcl. (SCIB), Asia Plus Securities Pcl. (ASP), National Petrochemical Pcl. (NPC), Airports of Thailand Pcl. (AOT), and Nakornthai Strip Mill Pcl. (NSM).
“There will be an additional 3 securities added to the replacement list as well. They are Regional Container Lines Pcl. (RCL), Bumrungrad Hospital Pcl. (BH), and Samart Corporation Pcl. (SAMRT),” the SET EVP said.
