Share Trading in May
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 3.3 billion, as compared to EUR 2.4 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 382,647 as compared to 245,134 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 663 billion, compared to EUR 499 billion in May 2009.
Derivatives Trading
The average daily trading volume in derivative products amounted to 654,525 contracts, as compared to 463,401 contracts during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in share products was 246,135 contracts, as compared to 212,096 contracts during the past 12 month period. The average daily trading volume in index products was 260,521 contracts, compared to 153,420 contracts during the past 12-month period. Fixed-income derivatives traded 147,870 contracts, compared to 97,884 contracts during the past 12-month period.
