“Today, I join with all New Yorkers in remembering those who lost their lives in the attacks seven years ago; and the firefighters, police officers and emergency responders whose selfless courage left us all with enduring proof of the heroism amongst us every day. While we honor and grieve for the lives lost, we continue to remember those fighting to protect our freedoms, our way of life and a proud nation where people of all faiths and colors will stand together - unified - in the face of adversity.”
