As previously announced, Euronext recently received proposals regarding a combination from each of Deutsche Boerse AG and NYSE Inc. The Supervisory Board reviewed these proposals carefully and considered their respective attractions to shareholders and other stakeholders.
The Supervisory Board and Managing Board of Euronext consider that the transaction with NYSE currently offers the most attractive combination. Both proposals will be explained to the shareholders at the AGM tomorrow. Their views will be considered by the Board before making a final recommendation to the shareholders at a future EGM.
