Standard & Poor's Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Canadian Midcap And S&P/TSX Canadian Smallcap Indices

Standard & Poor's wishes to announce that following changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian MidCap and S&P/TSX Canadian SmallCap Indices:

The Westaim Corporation (TSX: WED), Rogers Wireless Communications Inc. (TSX:RCM.B) and Descartes Systems Group Inc. (TSX:DSG) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Canadian Midcap Index and added to the S&P/TSX Canadian SmallCap Index. SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. (TSX: SNC), AGF Management Limited (TSX:AGF.B) and Masonite International Corporation (TSX:MHM) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Canadian SmallCap Index and added to the S&P/TSX Canadian MidCap Index.

These changes will be effective after the close of business on Wednesday, November 13, 2002.
