Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In The S&P Japan 500 And S&P Japan SmallCap 250 Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Japan 500 and S&P Japan SmallCap 250 Indices effective after the close of trading Friday, August 22nd, 2008:

Deletions and additions

Urban Corporation (Japan, SEDOL: 6917762, GICS: Financials, GICS Code: 40403010) a member of the S&P Japan SmallCap 250 and S&P Japan 500 indices, will be replaced by Nippon Seiki Co Ltd (Japan, SEDOL: 6642536, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25101010) after the market close of Friday, August 22nd 2008. Urban Corporation is deleted from the S&P Japan 500 indices following its application for the bankruptcy. The shares used for the index calculation for the new company will be 60,855,000 and its IWF will be 0.76
