Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In S&P/TOPIX 150, S&P Japan MidCap 100 And S&P Japan 500 Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TOPIX 150, the S&P Japan MidCap 100 and the S&P Japan 500 Indices effective after the close of trading Thursday, August 28, 2008:

• Seven & I Holdings Co Ltd (Japan, SEDOL: B0FS5D6, GICS: Consumer Staples, GICS Code: 30101030) a member of the S&P/TOPIX 150 and S&P Japan 500 indices, shares will decrease by 50,000,000 to 906,441,983 due to the repurchase of shares.
• Chuo Mitsui Trust Holdings (Japan, SEDOL: 6431897, GICS: Financials, GICS Code: 40101010) a member of the S&P Japan MidCap 100 and S&P Japan 500 indices, shares will increase by 170,000,000 to 1,157,551,267 due to the transfer of preferred stocks.
