Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Telecommunication Services Sector Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following change in the S&P/TSX Canadian Telecommunication Services Sector Index:
  • Effective after the close of trading on Tuesday, July 30, 2002, the following change will take place in the S&P/TSX Canadian Telecommunication Services Sector Index. The weight of Telus Corporation (TSX: T) will increase by approximately 4.29% in the S&P/TSX Canadian Telecommunication Services Sector Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float shares pursuant to S&P/TSX Canadian Sector Index methodology.
Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
