Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P ADR Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P ADR Index, effective after the close of trading on Monday, October 21, 2002:
  • Publicis Groupe SA (ADR) (France, SEDOL 577952) will be added to the S&P ADR Index after the close of business on Monday, October 21, 2002. Publicis Groupe SA is a provider of international advertising and communications services. For index calculation purposes, the number of ADRs outstanding is expected to be 196,051,275. Each ADR represents one B share. The Investable Weight Factor will be 0.7226. The company, headquartered in France will be added to the S&P ADR GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Media sub-industry group and the Media industry group.
National Grid plc (ADR) (Great Britain, SEDOL 2561260) will change its name to National Grid Transco plc, following the completion of its all-stock acquisition of Lattice Group plc. For index calculation purposes, the number of ADRs outstanding is expected to be 618,275,000. The Investable Weight Factor will remain at 1.00. The GICS sub industry will change from Electric Utilities to Multi-Utilities & Unregulated Power.
