Hello, I am Ben Konaré. I joined the FSB Secretariat in early 2025, after ten years in supervision and ten years in resolution at the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR).
At the Secretariat, I have contributed to initiatives on resolution and crisis preparedness, including updating the Resolvability Assessment Process for banks and central counterparties, and supporting its extension to central securities depositories.
In 2026, I helped organise ReSolve 2026, a series of expert workshops to share experience and address cross-border challenges and interdependencies across sectors and their implications for financial stability. These discussions were particularly valuable, as they highlighted the importance of making resolution arrangements fully operational and ensuring that they support resilience in our rapidly evolving global financial system.
The FSB Secretariat’s matrix organisation has also allowed me to broaden my perspective beyond resolution. I have contributed to work on systemic risks in the insurance sector and responsible innovation, been involved in work on regulatory and supervisory modernisation, and participated in a peer review of Türkiye’s crypto-asset and stablecoin regulatory framework.
I particularly value the intellectual diversity, strong spirit of cooperation and forward-looking approach that underpin the FSB’s work. Being part of the Secretariat has strengthened my conviction that effective international coordination is essential to developing shared policy responses and building a more resilient global financial system.
