Hi! My name is Grace Sone. I joined the FSB in 2010 from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
I arrived at a time when global cooperation was at its peak, with a shared mission to strengthen the financial system in the wake of the global financial crisis. The FSB felt like a small start-up where everyone worked as a team to ensure its work remained relevant and impactful.
I had the privilege of contributing to key policy initiatives, including the development of the FSB SIFI Framework and reporting progress to the G20. Without being confined to a single area of expertise, I worked on a wide range of topics, including supervisory effectiveness, cross-border payments and cyber resilience. I also oversaw the operations of the Secretariat and coordinated the six FSB Regional Consultative Groups.
After 15 years in the Secretariat, I am now hanging up my high heels and looking forward to spending more time with family and friends. Retirement offers an opportunity to reflect on this experience.
I’m proud to have been part of the FSB’s formative years. While the world keeps changing, I am confident the FSB will remain at the forefront of promoting global financial stability.
