It gives me great pleasure to be here at the 16th Roundtable of the Securities Commission Malaysia and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. This annual event bridges two locations and institutions that are very close to my heart. Indeed, ever since the inaugural Roundtable back in 2010, it has been my pleasure to return and to see it thrive year after year. This year, I would like to extend a special welcome to the Trustees of the Centre, His Excellency President Abdullah Gul and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sabah who have travelled from Turkey and Kuwait to be with us. It is wonderful to have you here, and to welcome you to Malaysia.
