Spanish Exchange Trades 83 New Warrants Issued By Santander Central Hispano - With These New Admissions The Number Of Warrants Traded On The Spanish Exchange Is Now 1,622, A Record High.

The Spanish Exchange today began trading 83 new warrants issued by Santander Central Hispano. The underlying assets for the warrants are domestic and foreign shares and indices and exchange rates.

With these new admissions the number of warrants traded on the Spanish Exchange is now 1,622, a record high.

The Spanish shares that will act as the underlying assets for 53 warrant are as follows: Altadis, Amadeus, BBVA, Endesa, Iberdrola, Inditex, Indra, Repsol, SCH, Telefónica, TPI and Zeltia.

Among the warrants issued on foreign shares, 8 have been issued on the following underlying assets: Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and Nokia.

As to the warrants issued on indices, 3 have been issued on the Ibex-35, 2 on the Dow Jones Industrial Average and 3 on the Nasdaq 100. Another 8 warrants have been issued on the euro / dollar exchange rate and 6 on the euro / yen exchange rate.

Among the issues are call and put warrants, all of which work in the same way as American warrants. Their expiry date is 16 December 2005.
