The new "Trading Simulation" course allows attendees to actively take part in a trading session by making their own trades on the equity market. |
SIX Swiss Exchange is offering a new course starting in October 2016. It allows stockbrokers, market makers and day traders to experience first-hand several equity trading sessions and be involved in their own trades. Various scenarios with different equities in the following trading situations are run through: continuous trading, auctions and various order books (lit & non-displayed).
As equity traders or market makers, participants will be able to measure themselves against their fellow participants. Different order types and Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) analyses will make it possible for participants to compare their performance against the market and each other.
The course is aimed at prospective traders or other staff (e.g. back office, analysts, client advisors) fromSIX Swiss Exchange participants or other reporting members, certified accountants and advisors or software providers, risk managers or controllers and anyone else who is interested in the market's inner workings. Universities and school classes are also welcome to participate on request.
The "Trading Simulation" module is a valuable addition and enhancement to trader training. The aim is to make the exchange more understandable, dispel any anxieties and bolster financial know-how.
The half-day course will take place in Zurich. You can find further information on the SIX Swiss Exchange website.
