The strong start to the year recorded by SIX Swiss Exchange and SIX Structured Product Exchange Ltd (formerly Scoach Switzerland) was continued in February. Since the beginning of 2014, total turnover amounts to CHF 209'203 million. This corresponds to an increase of 19.5% over the same period in the previous year. All segments except CHF Bonds posted higher turnover figures than in 2013. In the equity segment (including Funds and ETPs), growth reached 26.8% (at CHF 152'426 million).
The number of transactions also increased significantly compared to the same period in the previous year, raising by18.5% to 6'703'237. With 6'285'455 transactions, the major part took place in the equity segment, which corresponds to a growth of 19.7%.
