Over 40 members of the Swiss ETF community attended the second ETF/ETP Roundtable in 2015. As during thesuccessful kickoff in June, attendees in the ConventionPoint included market participants working in the field of asset management and market making as well as institutional investors and financial journalists.
The participants followed the discourse of the panellists Carmen Gonzàlez-Calatayud (HSBC Global Asset Management), Jacques-Etienne Doerr (Vanguard), and Gilles Boîtel (Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management). Frédéric Papp (finews) expertly guided the speakers through the topic of "investment opportunities in the current low interest environment". The various implications of a potential change of interest rates on portfolio allocation were discussed, with a particular focus on the use of ETFs and their advantages. Current trends in the ETF and ETP universe were also discussed.
