Singapore FinTech Festival 2026 To Explore The Five Forces Rewiring Global Finance

Date 26/08/2026

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2026 will take place from 18 to 20 November 2026, convening global technology and finance leaders to examine the structural forces rewiring the global financial system. Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), in collaboration with the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), SFF provides a global platform for policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, technology companies, investors, and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and shape the future of finance.

2.  SFF 2026 will examine five forces rewiring global finance:

  • Technology – As AI transforms productivity and growth, how can financial institutions harness it while staying ahead of AI-enabled scams, cyber threats and the coming quantum challenge?
  • Geoeconomics – As trade, investment and capital flows shift and new economic corridors emerge, how are financial networks adapting in response, and how can these networks be built to support trade and economic resilience?
  • Capital – Can productivity gains and revenue growth sustain an investment boom that has already driven AI-connected firms to around 40% of S&P 500 market capitalisation?
  • Talent – As AI transforms jobs, how can financial institutions enhance skills and capabilities of their workforce to stay competitive?
  • Policy – How can policy, governance and risk frameworks keep up as technology races ahead, to enable innovation without compromising trust and resilience?

3.  Special programmes across the three Festival days are:

  • Founders Peak™ — TED-inspired sessions in which global founders share personal journeys and hard-earned lessons with investors and the wider FinTech community.
  • Investor Hours™ and Capital Meets Policy Dialogue™ — connecting investors, founders and policymakers to pressure-test strategy and unlock capital.
  • SFF MeetUp™ — Asia’s largest FinTech meetings programme, facilitating pre-scheduled introductions between attendees.
  • The Global FinTech Hackcelerator™ — spotlighting early-stage innovators, with mentorship, investor access and a Demo Day prize pool.
  • International pavilions and a multi-hall exhibition — bringing together leading financial institutions, technology companies, startups and innovators to showcase the solutions shaping the financial industry.

4.  SFF 2026 will be preceded by the Insights2040 Annual Meeting (IAM), formerly known as the Insights Forum, held from 16 to 17 November at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre. This invite-only gathering convenes senior global public and private sector leaders to address the most pressing priorities shaping the future of financial services. Over two days, participants work through critical problem statements requiring close cross-sector collaboration on key technology issues facing the financial industry.

5.  Kenneth Gay, Chief FinTech Officer of MAS, said, “As the forces shaping global finance become more complex and interconnected, international cooperation and public-private collaboration will be increasingly important. SFF 2026 will provide a platform for stakeholders to exchange perspectives, strengthen partnerships and develop practical approaches to emerging opportunities and challenges. These conversations can enable a more trusted, resilient, innovative and inclusive global financial system.”

6.  Sopnendu Mohanty, Group Chief Executive Officer, GFTN said, “SFF 2026 comes at a moment when finance is seeing fragmentation on account of new technology, fractured geoeconomics, capital reallocation, skill gaps and the evolving policy landscape. This year's Festival is built with a simple conviction: Rewiring, handled well, is not just a risk. It is where opportunity is created. As the flagship GFTN global forum, SFF gives policymakers, financial institutions, investors and entrepreneurs from across the world a shared map through these shifts, and the partnerships to act on it with confidence.”
