Promotion of Head of Listings

Singapore Exchange (SGX) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr Lawrence Wong from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President. He will continue in his current role as Head of Listings - an increasingly important role as we build on our Asian Gateway strategy with foreign listings as a major growth driver.

"Since joining SGX half a year ago, Lawrence has strengthened the Listings function to position us for the next phase of growth. Apart from focusing on key sectors and important growth areas to attract larger issuers, he will also continue to enhance the profile and secondary market activities of our listed companies," said Mr Hsieh Fu Hua, Chief Executive Officer of SGX.

Appointment of Chief Human Resource Officer

SGX is also pleased to appoint Mr K.A. Chang as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer with effect from 16 October 2006.

"We are delighted to have K.A on board. Bringing with him more than 20 years of broad-based Human Resource experience, I am confident that under K.A's leadership, our Human Resource function will be strengthened considerably," said Mr Hsieh.

Mr Chang joins us from Norke Skog PanAsia Co. Pte. Ltd. where he leads the regional Human Resource function and Organisational Development. He has also accumulated extensive Human Resource experience in a long career spanning diverse industries.

Prior to joining Norke Skog PanAsia, Mr Chang was Vice President for regional Human Resource in the industrial gas and sanitary ware manufacturing industries. He has been involved in developing and deploying several corporate initiatives involving wide-scale organisational change, namely in the areas of process re-engineering, productivity, quality management and others.

Mr Chang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Economics from College of Notre Dame (USA) and currently serves as a Director on the Board of Integrated Plastics Technology Pte. Ltd.
