The consultation paper reviews recommendations set out by the Disclosure and Accounting Standards Committee ("DASC") and proposes amendments to the listing rules to support them.
In addition to the DASC recommendations, the consultation paper covers other areas, including the trading halt and suspension; and extension of general share issue mandate to convertible securities.
Mr Thomas Kloet, CEO of SGX, said, "We are pleased to invite responses from market participants and listed companies on the implementation of DASC's recommendations and SGX's other proposals. In addition to these proposals, the exchange may seek further consultation on quarterly reporting depending on the outcome of the discussions by the Council on Corporate Disclosure and Governance."
