Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Limited MSCI Taiwan Options Break Open Interest Record For 11th Time In May

Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Limited (SGX-DT) today announced that its MSCI Taiwan Index Options contract has set yet another open interest record on 23 May 2001, with 5,621 contracts. This record is the eleventh and latest in a spate of records since 4 May 2001, out of 16 trading days from 2 May to 23 May.

The SGX MSCI Taiwan Options last set an open interest record on 20 August 1998 with 4,408 contracts. Launched on 9 January 1997, the SGX MSCI Taiwan Index futures and options contracts are the most liquid Taiwan index derivatives in the world, trading an average of about 15,500 contracts daily.
