SIIA's Financial Information Services Division Announces New Vice-President - Tom Davin Appointed To Provide Leadership On The FISD Agenda

Date 05/01/2005

The Software & Information Industry Association is very pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Davin as Vice-President of its Financial Information Services Division (FISD) effective immediately.

"Tom brings a wealth of financial industry experience to FISD and his appointment was strongly supported by FISD membership," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. "His ability to work with members, industry and SIIA staff will enable FISD to move forward aggressively on its planned activities in the improved management of market data. We look forward to working with FISD, its Executive Committee and members in making their goals a reality."

"This is an exciting time for FISD as it moves to the next phase of its operations" said Davin. "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to work with the FISD membership as it addresses a variety of key issues related to the use of market data and securities reference data."

Davin comes to SIIA after eighteen years at The Nasdaq Stock Market, where he was most recently Senior Vice President for Market Data Distribution. In that role, he managed the products and distributor relationships that supported Nasdaq's real-time market data business. While at Nasdaq, he served as the Chair of the FISD Executive Committee.

The Financial Information Services Division (FISD) of the Software and Information Industry Association provides a neutral business forum for exchanges, market data vendors, specialist data providers, brokerage firms and banks to address and resolve business and technical issues related to the distribution, management, administration and use of market data. Participants use the forum to exchange ideas, build business relationships and improve the business climate associated with the worldwide flow of financial information.
