Signing Of Agreement For Common Cyprus Stock Exchange – Athens Stock Exchange Platform

The Chairmen of the Athens Stock Exchange and the Cyprus Stock Exchange, Messrs. Spyros Kapralos and Akis Cleanthous signed on Friday, September 16, 2005 the agreement for the common ASE - CSE platform. The ceremony was attended by the Greek Ambassador in Cyprus, Demetrios Rallis and representatives of the stock market. The signing of the agreement signals the cooperation of the two stock exchanges and accelerates the procedures for its completion.

It is noted that the Chairmen of the two stock exchanges proceeded to the relevant briefing during the round table discussion, which had been organized after the signing of the agreement between the CSE and the ASE.

Within the framework of the program above, the CSE and ASE officials carried out on 15/9/05 and 16/9/05 presentations of the model operation of the common platform to the Securities and Exchange Commission, CSE members, Central Bank representatives, data vendors and other stock market organizations.
