The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) supports the opening of the U.S. equities and equity options markets on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. SIFMA’s member firms are operational, and they are prepared for the resumption of trading in equities and equity options. However, SIFMA also notes that conditions in the New York City area continue to be subject to developments that could affect overall business operations over the next several days.
