Good morning. Thank you for joining us here in New York for the SIFMA Tech Leaders Forum. It’s my pleasure to welcome you all to this important industry event.
As we approach the two-year anniversary of Dodd-Frank, there’s no doubt the financial industry is in a period of true transformation. Dodd-Frank implementation is a massive undertaking and will require at least 400 new rulemakings touching every corner of our industry. We are operating in a truly global marketplace, where all of these new rules must work in tandem with global regulatory reform. At the halfway mark, we need to ask, what does Dodd-Frank mean to technology professionals? We know it means over 400 new rulemakings that will require new processes and technology solutions to implement. Ultimately, how these rules are implemented will impact the fundamental structure of the financial industry and how it drives investment opportunity, capital formation, and job creation.
