On August 24, the launching ceremony of the Securities and Fund Information Technology Application and Innovation Center (the “Industry IT Innovation Center”) and the seminar on information technology innovation were held at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE). Relevant persons in charge attended the launching ceremony of the Industry IT Innovation Center and conducted in-depth exchanges centering on strengthening the IT application and innovation within the industry. These attendees are those from the Department of Science and Technological Supervision and the Information Center of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), SZSE, China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (CSDC), and China Securities Information Technology Service Limited Company (CSITS), as well as seven securities brokers, six industry application service providers, and six technology service providers.
The Industry IT Innovation Center is the special plan and platform focusing on the application and innovation of information technology by the Securities and Futures Fintech Research and Development Center (Shenzhen) (the “FinTech Center”), which is operated and managed by SZSE. At the seminar, SZSE briefed attendees on the work objectives and operation plan of the Industry IT Innovation Center, shared the development of the IT innovation by SZSE, and signed strategic cooperation agreements with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Sangfor Technologies Inc., and Tsinghua Unigroup Co., Ltd. Representatives of relevant brokers, industry application service providers, and technology service providers also shared their respective practices in IT innovation, and exchanged views on follow-up plans on IT innovation.
The person in charge of the Department of Science and Technological Supervision of the CSRC said that the Department has been working hard to promote the solid and efficient implementation of IT application and innovation in the securities and fund industry, and supporting SZSE to make full use of the existing resources on the FinTech Center platform to further leverage the technological advantages and organizational functions. The establishment of the Industry IT Innovation Center under the FinTech Center was conducive to gathering IT strengths of the industry, solving common problems faced by the industry in technology, and helping SZSE to play an active role in accelerating the overall process of industry IT innovation.
The person in charge of SZSE stated that after nearly three years of development, the FinTech Center of SZSE has become increasingly mature in operation and management, and its industry influence has continued to intensify. It has developed into an important platform for FinTech innovation, exchanges, and sharing, and has achieved a number of forward-looking, targeted, and feasible research results. SZSE has all the capabilities and confidence to build and operate the Industry IT Innovation Center, and work with core institutions, brokers, industry application service providers, and technology service providers to solidly advance technological R&D, validation and testing, promotion and application, and ecosystem development for jointly facilitating the progress and innovation of information technology of the industry.
