In October 2023, China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House Co., Ltd. and China Scientometrics and Bibliometrics Research Center jointly released the Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journals Impact Factors (Social Science ∙ 2023 Edition). Among them, the Securities Market Herald, an academic journal administered and sponsored by SZSE, ranked third among 62 domestic journals related to currency/finance and banking/insurance with the impact index of 283.078.
According to the Analysis Report on Changes of Measurement Evaluation Indicators in 2023 released simultaneously, the impact factor of the Securities Market Herald increased significantly. In particular, the comprehensive impact factor of the journal increased from 1.955 in 2021 to 3.016 in 2022, up 54.27%; and the compound impact factor of the journal increased from 5.221 in 2021 to 7.521 in 2022, up 44.05%.
Impact factor refers to the ratio of the total number of citations of citable literature published in the first two years of the evaluated journal in the statistical year to the total number of citable literature published in the first two years of the journal. As a core index for measuring citations of journal articles, it represents the affirmation of academic and theoretical circles on the quality of journals. According to the data, the two impact factors of the Securities Market Herald steadily increased for five consecutive years since 2018, with the gradual growth in the scope and degree of impact.
