On 18 August, 2017, the “flint fire” entrepreneurship summer camp for Taiwan students held by Shenzhen Stock Exchange (hereinafter as ‘SZSE’) ended in a satisfactory way. The Chairman of SZSE Mr. Wu Lijun was presented at the closing ceremony.
By attending the business practice, entrepreneurship courses and corporate visit in the past three weeks, sixty-four students from Taiwan have gained a better understanding of the business of SZSE and the capital market in Mainland China, and had a more intuitive feeling of the great achievements of the economic and social development of Mainland China and the pioneer spirit and innovation vitality of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, as well as become more clearly about their goal and planning for future employment and entrepreneurship. During the summer camp period, the students actively participated in various activities, worked together and thought diligently, established deep friendship with young staff of SZSE, and gained an unforgettable study and living experience in Mainland China.
In the closing ceremony, relevant official of SZSE expressed the hope that the summer camp could help the students from Taiwan to know current industrial and financial situation and choose a right start-up direction, and all learners of the summer camp could continue to enrich their own knowledge, constantly pursue their entrepreneurship and innovation dreams, and enthusiastically participate in the cross-straits exchanges and cooperation, so as to make their contributions to promote the prosperous development of both sides across the straits and realize the common progress of the Chinese nation.
In recent years, SZSE has actively built the entrepreneurship service platforms including ‘Home of Universities’ and ‘Home of Entrepreneurs’, and initially established the entrepreneurship practice and experiential learning mechanism for young people including students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Now financial cooperation across the straits has been continuously deepened, economic and cultural exchanges have been increasingly close, and the open and tolerant climate for entrepreneurship in Mainland China has attracted more and more young people from Taiwan to come here to realize their dreams. SZSE will continue to successfully run the activities for young people from Taiwan to learn and exchange in Mainland China, give full play to the advantages of the market system, comprehensive services and innovation, build the entrepreneurship financial support platform for young people from Taiwan, and actively support the young people across the straits to improve their own value and participate in innovation and entrepreneurship.
