Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) recently completed the evaluation work of information disclosure of the companies listed on the Main Board of SZSE for 2006.
Of 490 companies, 41 were evaluated as Pass with Distinction, 248 Pass with Credit, 170 Pass and 31 Fail.
The evaluation was conducted when newly-revised Company Law and Securities Law were implemented; the share split structure reform and debts liquidation were completed basically, and the fundamental systems of the capital market were further improved.
SZSE implemented multi-dimensional evaluation with regard to information disclosure of listed companies within one year and finally formed the evaluation results, in accordance with the Measures for Evaluating Information Disclosure of Listed Companies (the Measures), from such four aspects of information disclosure as timeliness, accuracy, integrity and validity, in order to strengthen the disclosure liability of the information disclosure obligators and improve the consciousness of legal operation of listed companies.
In addition, SZSE will also pay much attention to the new problems occurring in the full circulation market, and revise the Measures in time, thus making the evaluation results more comprehensive and scientific.
