On 31 July, 2017, the “flint fire” entrepreneurship summer camp for Taiwan students was officially launched in Shenzhen Stock Exchange (hereinafter as “SZSE”). Present at the opening ceremony were relevant officials from the Taiwan office of the People’s government of Guangdong and the Taiwan office of the People’s government of Shenzhen, and Yang Zhihua, chairman of the supervisory committee of SZSE.
Sixty-four undergraduate and postgraduate students from Taiwan are accepted for the three-week summer camp, which covers a range of activities including entrepreneurship project design, road show simulation, business visits, and youth exchanges, etc.
As was pointed out by supervisor Yang Zhihua at the opening ceremony, the supply-side reform in mainland China has deepened the role of innovation in economic development, and there is a sound and opening climate for entrepreneurship, which provides ample opportunities and platforms for young people in Taiwan to fulfill their ambitions. SZSE has made it its mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, and endeavors to build a center for innovative capital, and tries to push forward the integration of innovative economies across the straits by encouraging and supporting young people in Taiwan to learn about the economic development of mainland China and to participate in the innovation and entrepreneurship.
The “flint fire” entrepreneurship summer camp shall facilitate non-governmental exchanges across the straits, deepen the cooperation on education between both sides, further financial communication across the straits and provide kindlings for innovation and entrepreneurship of young people. SZSE shall spare no effort to guarantee a successful summer camp. Besides, it shall offer more internship and learning opportunities for young people in Taiwan for in future and shall continue to facilitate the growth and development of Taiwan youth by improving the innovation and entrepreneurship financial platform.
