Today, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) launches the “World Investor Week 2020” activities under the guidance of Investor Protection Bureau of the CSRC. On the launching day, some members and investor representatives walked into SZSE, rang the gong, entered the investment education base and visited the Financial Museum, experiencing the achievements during 30 years of development of Chinese capital market and the growth of SZSE. The activities are designed to disseminate financial securities knowledge, promote the financial literacy of investors and create an atmosphere of enhanced investor protection and education. The year of 2020 marks the third year SZSE has participated in this activity.
Themed on “Focusing on the Registration-based IPO System of ChiNext Board and Enabling Rational and Value Investment”, the activities this year will last for one month, and aim to interpret rules and regulations in relation to the smooth implementation of the reform of the ChiNext Board and the pilot project of the registration-based IPO system and lead investors to rational investment, with a view to ensuring the high-efficient running of the registration-based IPO system of ChiNext Board. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, SZSE will push “Focusing on the Reform of the ChiNext Board” videos and Manual of Investment on and Entering the ChiNext Board via its official account “SZSE Investment Education Base”, and release other investment education products in the future, like “Cloud Stand of New Economy” video, “ABC on the Reform of the ChiNext Board” audio and investors public service advertisements. In addition, it will join hands with regional offices of the CSRC and local associations to hold “Lecture Hall on Investment Education”, “Listed Companies’ Open House Program for Investors” and other offline investment education activities.
SZSE has always highly valued and practically advanced investor education and protection. From the year beginning, SZSE has not only strictly followed the requirements of normalized pandemic prevention and control, but also done a good job in the investment education on the reform of the ChiNext Board and investor protection-related law popularizing and publicity activities through the combination of on- and off-line methods, serving investors in a precision way. SZSE will continue to stick to the requirements of “revering the market, revering the rule of law, holding high professionalism, staying alert to risks, and obtaining support from various parties”, adhere to investors’ demands, create new forms of investment education service, promote investor protection level and gather the industry’s efforts in investment education, so as to enhance investors’ sense of gain with high-quality service and celebrate the 30th birthday of the capital market with inclusive investment education.
“World Investor Week” is an education and protection activity for worldwide investors organized by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). In 2019, it was attended by securities regulatory institutions, stock exchanges, international organizations and investor associations from 89 countries and regions and benefited over 100 million people around the world.
