The Shenzhen Stock Exchange launched a feature column on a monitoring platform for restricted shares with the aim to improve transparency and regulation on trading of restricted shares, which is currently the focus of stock market and investors.
It is a weekly column revealing information pertaining to restricted shares within the week and it includes the following three categories: the general information of trading of restricted shares by shareholders of listed companies including company and shareholder names, shares and percentages traded; transactions exceeding 1 percent of total equity and names of trusted members; shares sales exceeding 1 percent of total equity by holders who hold more than 5 percent of restricted shares within the week according to trading announcements of listed companies. The first phase of the column was released today.
Principals from SZSE expressed that the column discloses information involving restricted shares especially sales exceeding 1 percent and therefore enhances transparency of restricted share transaction, which is for better supervision on restricted shares and urging on shareholders to stick to regulations and rules.
