On March 14, SZSE held the 3rd National Investor Education Animation & Comics Contest Awarding Ceremony & Launch Ceremony of the 2022 “Investor Service Season” online. Relevant officials of the Investor Protection Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Financial Consumer Protection Bureau of the People’s Bank of China, People’s Daily’s newspaper Satire and Humor, Securities Times and SZSE attended and addressed the ceremony. A total of 39,000 people including managers of financial institutions and listed companies, experts, scholars, cartoonists and investors participated in the interaction and communication of the ceremony online.
Themed by “The Listed Companies Around Me”, this year’s National Investor Education Animation & Comics Contest asked participants to express their perceptions and understandings of listed companies and capital markets from the cultural perspective by telling the stories between investors and listed companies. More than 10,000 contributions from a variety of groups including financial institutions, listed companies, university students and teachers, securities industry workers and renowned cartoonists were received, and 98 were finally selected and awarded. The topics and contributions of the Contest were circulated on internet platforms such as Douyin, Baidu and Kuaishou. The Contest attracted a lot of attention, with its topics being viewed several hundred million times.
As an original brand activity of SZSE, the National Investor Education Animation & Comics Contest has been held for three sessions. Over the past three years, the Contest has seen an increase in both participants and excellent works. By combining animation & comics with investor education, the Contest has added a cultural core into investor education in flexible and diversified forms. And by transforming the cultural essences of the capital market such as the principles of justice, fairness and openness, risk awareness, honesty and spirit of contract into more popular cultural works, it has further strengthened the foundation for the deepening of the reform of the capital market.
On the day, the annual “Investor Service Season” of SZSE was officially launched. During the event, with a focus on priorities of work such as implementing the registration-based IPO system across the board and improving the quality of listed companies, SZSE will continue to hold special activities like “Understand Listed Companies’ Reports” “March 15 Online Consulting on Investor Rights Protection” and disseminate the new delisting rules and other self-discipline regulation rules.
Next, SZSE will actively practice the people-centric development philosophy, follow investor demand as the orientation, and provide services to maintain stable growth, forestall risks and promote reforms. Meanwhile, SZSE will continue to take advantage of the platform of the National Investor Education Animation & Comics Contest to carry forward the culture of the capital market, spread the ideas of rational investment, value investment and long-term investment, and inject new vitality into the investor protection cause, thus supporting the high-quality development of the capital market.
