On December 4, Shenzhen stock exchange, together with China Securities Depository and Clearing Corp. Shenzhen Branch and the Investor Call Center of Shenzhen Securities Information Co, co-organized a law promotion campaign with the theme of ??Enhancing the awareness of the Rule of Law, Building a harmonious securities market??. Legal experts and invited senior lawyers conducted online exchanges with investors via the Internet.
The two-hour consultation activity attracted many investors, who asked about 200 questions concerning securities-related laws, regulations and business rules of the stock exchange, investor self-protection, and the latest hotspot issues in the market.
A SSE official said the bourse has carried out a series of investor education campaigns and put in place related rules and laws to protect the interests of investors. As a self-discipline regulator, the bourse has strengthened market supervision over information disclosure of listed companies, risk diversion of member institutions, and trading monitoring. Multiple measures have been taken to raise the risk awareness and compliance awareness of investors and safeguard their interests, esp. for retail investors. In addition, the bourse set up a listing committee and an appeals review committee to optimize its governance structure and internal control mechanism. The same official expressed the bourse would further step up efforts to implement market regulation based on the rule of law and facilitate the healthy and harmonious development of the country??s securities market.
