The two member-nominated candidates, I. Isabelle Benton and Kay Evans, were formally nominated for election by a vote of the Exchange membership at the annual members meeting on Wednesday, June 21. Ms. Benton received 76% of the votes cast over her opponent Richard Feinberg. Ms. Evans ran unopposed.
The other seven candidates were nominated for election
by the Exchange’s Nominating, Elections and Governance Committee.
Albert S. Dandridge was re-elected as an Independent Governor.
Mr. Dandridge is co-chair of the securities practice team and
is a member of the business services department in the firm of
Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis LLP.
Ambassador Richard Sklar was re-elected as an Independent Governor.
Ambassador Sklar is currently President of the Public Utilities
Commission in San Francisco, and from 1997-1999, served as U.S.
Ambassador to the United Nations.
Wendy S. White was re-elected as an Independent Governor. Ms.
White is Vice President and General Counsel for the University
of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Senator Wyche Fowler was re-elected as an Independent Governor.
Senator Fowler is a former U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia and served for 16 years in the U.S. Congress.
Michael Juneman was re-elected as a Shareholder Governor. Mr.
Juneman is responsible for U.S. options exchange operations for
Citadel Investment Group.
Gary Yetman was re-elected as a Shareholder Governor. Mr. Yetman
is Managing Director, Vice Chairman of Global Equity Financing
& Services in the Global Markets & Investment Banking
Division of Merrill Lynch.
Kevin Carroll was re-elected as a Shareholder Governor. Mr. Carroll
is Vice President of Citigroup Derivatives Markets Inc. in Philadelphia.
I. Isabelle Benton was re-elected as a Member Governor. Ms. Benton
is a partner of Benton Partners II and has been an Exchange member
since 1984.
Kay Evans was elected as a Designated Independent Governor. Ms.
Evans has most recently served as the System Executive Director
at the Maine State Retirement System (MSRS) which provides retirement
and related benefit programs and has an investment portfolio of
$8 billion.
