Share Changes In The S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, S&P Euro, S&P United Kingdom and S&P Global 100 indices, effective after the close of trading on Tuesday 09 January 2007:

• Compagnie de Saint-Gobain (France, SEDOL: 7380482, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20102010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will change to 368,319,313 following the redemption of convertible securities.
• Elan Corporation Plc (Ireland, SEDOL: 4305507, GICS: Health Care, GICS Code: 35202010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will change to 466,619,200 following the redemption of convertible securities.
• Koninklijke (Royal) KPN NV (Netherlands, SEDOL: 5956078, GICS: Telecommunication Services, GICS Code: 50101020), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will change to 1,928,551,326 following the repurchase and cancellation of shares.
• Koninklijke (Royal) Philips Electronics NV (Netherlands, SEDOL: 5986622, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25201010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, S&P Euro and S&P Global 100 indices, shares will change to 1,142,826,763 following the repurchase and cancellation of shares.
• Lonmin (Great Britain, SEDOL: 3119248, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15104040), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, shares will change to 154,425,716 following the redemption of convertible securities.
• PPR SA (France, SEDOL: 5505072, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25503010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will change to 128,387,274 following the redemption of convertible securities.
• Swedish Match (Sweden, SEDOL: 5048566, GICS: Consumer Staples, GICS Code: 30203010), a member of the S&P Europe 350 and S&P Euro Plus indices, shares will change to 280,000,000 following the repurchase and cancellation of shares.
