Standard & Poor’s will make the following change in the S&P Japan MidCap 100 and S&P Japan 500 Indices effective after the close of trading, Thursday July 20, 2006:

• Nippon Mining Holdings Inc (Japan, SEDOL: 6543770, GICS: Energy, GICS Code: 10102030) a member of the S&P Japan MidCap 100 and S&P Japan 500 indices, shares will increase by 70,000,000 to 918,462,002 due to the public offering.
