Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, effective after the close of trading on Tuesday 2 June 2008:

• Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (Italy, SEDOL: 7128541, GICS: Financials, GICS Code: 40101010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will increase to 5,492,986,000, following a rump placement of ordinary shares after the successful completion of its capital increase.
