Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro and indices, effective after the close of trading on Wednesday 30 July 2008:
- Lafarge (France, SEDOL: 4502706, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15102010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will increase to 195,065,000 following the issue of shares to the founding shareholders of Orascom Construction industries, due to the acquisition of Orascom Cement by Lafarge. The IWF will change to 0.6821 to account for the Orascom holding, and the holding by Groupe Bruxelles Lambert which, following the recent representation of this entity on the Lafarge board of directors, should be excluded from float.
- Wolters Kluwer (Netherlands, SEDOL: 5671519, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25401040), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will decrease to 287,086,000 following a buyback and cancellation of shares.
