The Shanghai Stock Exchange has recently issued to its member units a "Notice of Reminding Investors of Activating Dormant Accounts for Online Subscription for New Shares".
In accordance with the requirements of the China Securities Regulatory Commission for regulating account management, securities companies had stored the small-volume dormant accounts to another inventory. The notice asked all member units to carefully check the accounts' storage conditions and timely solve any problems uncovered. Besides, to facilitate investors' online subscription, all member units are required to inform investors of activating dormant accounts for new shares subscription according to the regulations of the Shanghai Branch of China Securities Depository & Clearing Corp., Ltd.
