SGX Statement: Suspension Of Trading In Shares Of Links Island Holding Ltd ("Links Island")

SGX has been reviewing the recent trading in the shares of Links Island and has found the trading irregular. SGX is conducting inquiries to determine whether a corner situation has arisen in the counter. SGX has also referred the matter to the relevant authority for investigation into possible offences under the law.

In view of the irregular market in the shares of Links Island and pending the outcome of the inquiries, SGX considers it appropriate to suspend trading in Links Island shares until further notice. Accordingly, trading in Links Island shares has been suspended with effect from 2 pm, August 16.

Settlement of all trades in Links Island shares done on or after 14 August 2000 will be deferred until further notice by the Exchange.
