SGX Partners The Society Of Remisiers (Singapore) And Securities Association Of Singapore In Enhancing The Remisier Profession

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), the Society of Remisiers (Singapore) (SRS) and the Securities Association of Singapore (SAS) today launched a programme to enhance the profile and development of the remisier profession.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the key market role of remisiers, promote the highly specialized profession and raise professional competency levels across the industry. SGX Academy will support these efforts with advanced programmes in high-velocity trading and sales delivered by practicing experts, in line with the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) strategic thrust of building a greater pool of highly-talented financial professionals.

Mr Andrew Ler, Senior Vice President and Head, Private Investors at SGX said, “Remisiers play a critical role in our marketplace. It is important that the professional development of Remisiers is elevated to the next level, in tandem with the development of products and the marketplace. Coupled with a clear profile of this profession, we will be stepping up career awareness and recruitment campaigns in close partnership with SRS and SAS to attract more talents into our industry.”
