Singapore Exchange (SGX) today said it is appointing Mr Glenn Seah as Senior Vice President and Head of Compliance effective 7 February 2012. Mr Seah will be responsible for driving SGX's compliance with local and international regulations and best practices.
Mr Seah joins SGX from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was Regional Head, Wholesale Bank Compliance in Singapore and South-East Asia, covering corporate banking products from lending and transaction banking to financial markets and corporate finance, and overseeing wholesale bank compliance in several Asia-Pacific countries.
Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, Mr Seah served in various roles in SGX, including Legal and Regulatory Policy, Staff Assistant to the CEO, and Head of Market Surveillance and Enforcement. Mr Seah was also a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel with the Attorney-General’s Chambers for several years, covering a broad spectrum of criminal law, including trial and appellate work, cross-border mutual legal assistance and the revision of Singapore’s criminal laws and procedures.
