  • Asia Risk, GlobalCapital laud multi-asset approach, exceptional client service
  • FOW also names Singapore Exchange Derivatives Clearing as Clearing House of the Year

Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) has clinched the top Asian derivatives exchange accolade at three distinguished financial-industry awards for its multi-asset service offering, reflecting growing global institutional demand for its trusted investment and risk-management solutions.

SGX Group was named “Derivatives Exchange of the Year” at the Asia Risk Awards, one of the longest-running awards for the derivatives and risk-management industry. Leading publication Asia Risk cited how SGX Group’s approach across equity, currency and commodity derivatives was “particularly welcomed” by both international and regional market participants as they navigated persistent uncertainty and volatility. Its continued development of market connectivity in India, as well as strengths in offering efficient access to China, were also lauded. The award was announced on 26 September in Singapore.

SGX Group retained the “Asia Pacific Derivatives Exchange of the Year” honour at GlobalCapital’s Global Derivatives Awards. In selecting the year’s winners, judges looked for examples of innovation, growth and work to advance the derivatives industry, as well as “extraordinary effort” on behalf of clients. In addition, GlobalCapital considered how organisations were future-proofing their businesses in areas such as technology, regulation, market dynamics and ESG. The award was announced on 26 September in London and marked SGX Group’s 10th win in 11 years.

At FOW’s Asia Pacific Awards, SGX Group won “Exchange of the Year” while Singapore Exchange Derivatives Clearing was named “Clearing House of the Year”. FOW, a leading provider of data, market intelligence and events for the global futures and options community, announced its award winners on 25 September in Singapore. This year, the exchange and clearing house winners were determined through a survey of FOW subscribers and industry stakeholders.

Michael Syn, President of SGX Group, said, “We are delighted to win again at these important industry awards, a recognition of our efforts in consistently delivering growth for our clients through the highs and lows. In an increasingly demanding market environment, we will continue to raise the bar for service standards as Asia’s most trusted and efficient international marketplace.”
