SGX CDP To Move To Buona Vista On 14 April

Date 18/03/2014

Singapore Exchange Central Depository (SGX CDP) will move its customer service centre and operations to The Metropolis, a stone’s throw away from the Buona Vista MRT Interchange on 14 April 2014.

The new SGX CDP customer service centre will offer customers easier access via a sheltered link to the Buona Vista MRT Interchange, a smart queuing system aimed at minimising waiting times and more self-help kiosks.

SGX serves over 150,000 customers each month through its call centre, online services, and the SGX CDP customer service centre. Of these, over 80% of customers use www.sgx.com for various services while another 3% email the exchange. The call centre serves 7% of customers and the customer service centre, which is visited by an average 3,000 customers each month, serves the remaining 2% of customers.

“With the move, we are taking the opportunity to upgrade our SGX CDP customer service centre. We offer the same counter services, and are expanding our self-help counters to help retail investors become more empowered in their investment management,” said Lynn Gaspar, head of retail investors at SGX.

In addition to SGX CDP, other SGX business units will also relocate to the Metropolis in the weeks from 28 March. Once completed, up to 70% of SGX employees will operate from the Metropolis, while the rest will remain at SGX Centre.
